Constitutional Statement of Covenant:
We covenant to be responsibly united in this Church for
public worship of God, for fellowship and mutual instruction in Christian
faith and life, for concerted effort to advance the cause of Christ. To
these purposes we pledge, so far as we are able, our prayers, our gifts,
and our services.
|
First Church Vision:
We strive to be a welcoming and dynamic faith community,
guided and strengthened by the presence of God, the life and teachings of
Jesus, and our biblical hritage. By reaching out together through God's
love, we seek to meet the spiritual and human needs of people of all
ages and all backgrounds.

General Information:
The Church building is located on Connecticut
Route 189, two miles
North
of Granby center and is set on a 5 acre lot in a pastoral setting
with a
parking lot used by commuters to Hartford during the week.
The Church office is regularly open from 9:00 to 3:00
p.m. Monday
through Friday and has a recording device on the phone for
messages at
other times.
Some of the Sunday School rooms are used by a volunteer
preschool
organization during the week.
The town of Granby is a suburban community, 20 miles Northwest
of
Hartford, CT. with some Dairy, Fruit and Horse boarding farms. Today, a large
part of Granby is in a Forest Preserve and Game Refuge. The Game Refuse is open
to the public for hiking and has picnicking areas.
