First Church Vision:

We strive to be a welcoming and dynamic faith community, guided and strengthened by the presence of God, the life and teachings of Jesus, and our biblical hritage. By reaching out together through God's love, we seek to meet the spiritual and human needs of people of all  ages and all backgrounds.

 


General Information:

    The Church building is located on Connecticut Route 189, two miles
    North of Granby center and is set on a 5 acre lot in a pastoral setting
    with a parking lot used by commuters to Hartford during the week.

    The Church office is regularly open from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday
    through Friday and has a recording device on the phone for messages at
    other times.

    Some of the Sunday School rooms are used by a volunteer preschool
    organization during the week.

    The town of Granby is a suburban community, 20 miles Northwest of
    Hartford, CT. with some Dairy, Fruit and Horse boarding farms. Today, a large part of Granby is in a Forest Preserve and Game Refuge. The Game Refuse is open to the public for  hiking and has picnicking areas. During the 1930's to the 1950's the membership of the church had a close tie between the membership o
